Aaron’s Art on a Spider-Man Cover

Posted By Damon on July 14, 2012

Let me see if I can explain this coherently; Marvel Comics did a promotion for some comic retail outlets to have their own personalized variant covers of Spider-Men #1. Aaron Conley was asked to pencil some Spiders-Men for local chain Coliseum of Comics for their own variant cover, and then as an event, they had customers come in to one of their locations and ink bits of the drawing, with some 150 odd participants. That inked drawing was then cleaned up and colored by Audrey Zindler and then Marvel did a small print run for Coliseum of Comics to distribute exclusively.

Aaron’s local newspaper covered it: http://www.theledger.com/article/20120713/ENT/120719728

And here’s another post about it: http://www.bizjournals.com/orlando/blog/2012/06/coliseum-of-comics-in-kissimmee-local.html
