Here’s an original song I co-wrote with my friend David Torres. This is a sacri-licious hard-drinking shanty, and it’s about as screwball as it gets. Here is a loose demo. For the final version I’d like get some rolling barroom piano, accordion, and maybe a little fiddle action going on from miracle musician David Roby. Maybe speed up the tempo a notch. We’ll see.

Here are the lyrics because I think they are funny:

My good friend Jeff Johnson just posted a cool electro-pop song we worked on together to his Myspace Music Page, called “Your Biggest Fan.” I co-wrote it with him and slapped on some backup vocals. It’s about an obsessed transvestite.

Also, here’s a preview of the piece I’m working on to submit to the Covered blog, the cover of Super Mario Bros. #2 from Valiant’s Nintendo Comics System in the early 90′s. I had this issue growing up, I forget what happened to it, but #2 recently fell into my hands again when the comic store threatened to throw it away if I wouldn’t take it, so I guess NINTENGOD was trying to tell me something.

It’s going to be a while before Aaron’s Flash entry or mine go up on Covered, they’ve had a ton of submissions lately. Aaron’s is slotted for April.

We have a veritable buttload of art and some new music to drop shortly. We are preparing the enormous bottom at this very moment to unload its cache of magical and terrifying droppage. A bit of a stretch for a metaphor but I’m sticking to my buns on this one. Guns. Sticking to my guns.

Aaron's Year End Mix 2009

Ok I’m back! So Christmas is right around the bend, and this year I’ve composed a song in the grand tradition of the bleakly humorous, hard luck carols of yore. David Roby played the guitar and slide guitar and I tinkled on the toy piano for this one. Enjoy!
